Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Windows Update' = '%WINDIR%\temp\WinAV.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\WinAV.exe
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
forces the system hide from view:
- hidden files
Creates and executes the following:
- %WINDIR%\Temp\FF.exe
- %WINDIR%\Temp\Chromepass.exe /stext %WINDIR%\temp\Chrome.txt
- %WINDIR%\Temp\mspass.exe /stext %WINDIR%\temp\mess.txt
- %WINDIR%\Temp\iepv.exe /stext %WINDIR%\temp\IE.txt
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\systeminfo.exe
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %TEMP%\dw.log
- %WINDIR%\Temp\CD KEYS.txt
- %WINDIR%\Temp\tmpinfo.txt
- %TEMP%\1ED58.dmp
- %WINDIR%\Temp\Chromepass.exe
- %WINDIR%\Temp\mspass.exe
- %WINDIR%\Temp\WinAV.exe
- %WINDIR%\Temp\FF.exe
- %WINDIR%\Temp\iepv.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
