Malicious functions:
To bypass firewall, removes or modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List] '%HOMEPATH%\systeme.exe' = '%HOMEPATH%\systeme.exe:*:Enabled:systeme.exe'
Creates and executes the following:
- '%HOMEPATH%\systeme.exe'
- '%TEMP%\229.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\netsh.exe' firewall add allowedprogram "%HOMEPATH%\systeme.exe" "systeme.exe" ENABLE
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %HOMEPATH%\systeme.exe
- %TEMP%\229.exe
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'ma###.zapto.org':1177
UDP:
- DNS ASK ma###.zapto.org
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Indicator' WindowName: '(null)'
