- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'starmux.exe' = '"%APPDATA%\starmux.exe"'
Creates or modifies the following files:
- %HOMEPATH%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\starmux.exe
Malicious functions:
To bypass firewall, removes or modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List] '%APPDATA%\starmux.exe' = '%APPDATA%\starmux.exe:*:Enabled:starmux.exe'
Creates and executes the following:
- '%APPDATA%\starmux.exe' "del" <Full path to virus>
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\netsh.exe' firewall add allowedprogram "%APPDATA%\starmux.exe" "starmux.exe" ENABLE
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %APPDATA%\starmux.exe
- %APPDATA%\starmux.exe.ini
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'e7.##tes.net':8822
UDP:
- DNS ASK e7.##tes.net
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Indicator' WindowName: '(null)'
