Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer\Run] 'winlogon' = 'C:\CONFIG\svchost.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer\Run] 'installed' = 'present2'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] 'Shell' = 'explorer.exe'
Creates or modifies the following files:
- %HOMEPATH%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\ .lnk
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
forces the system hide from view:
- hidden files
blocks execution of the following system utilities:
- Windows Task Manager (Taskmgr)
- Registry Editor (RegEdit)
Creates and executes the following:
- '%TEMP%\TunerSetup\svchost.exe'
Modifies settings of Windows Explorer:
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] 'NoFolderOptions' = '00000001'
Modifies settings of Windows Internet Explorer:
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main] 'Window Title' = 'G.O.D Saikoboy's Internet Explorer'
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- C:\CONFIG\paths.dat
- C:\CONFIG\drives.dat
- C:\CONFIG\spring\autorun.inf
- C:\CONFIG\Icon.ico
- C:\CONFIG\svchost.exe
- %TEMP%\TunerSetup\Icon.ico
- %TEMP%\TunerSetup\drives.dat
- %TEMP%\TunerSetup\svchost.exe
- %TEMP%\TunerSetup\paths.dat
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- C:\CONFIG\spring\autorun.inf
