Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'csrpss' = '<SYSTEM32>\csrpss.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\System.exe
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\csrpss.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\regsvr32.exe' /sMswinsck.ocx
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- <SYSTEM32>\csrpss.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\Mswinsck.ocx
- <SYSTEM32>\hkcmf.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\System.exe
Deletes the following files:
- %TEMP%\~DF51DB.tmp
- <SYSTEM32>\PerfStringBackup.TMP
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Shell_TrayWnd' WindowName: '(null)'
