To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'BS_Dead_' = '%CommonProgramFiles%\taskmgr.exe'
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'BS_Dead' = '%CommonProgramFiles%\taskmgr.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
Terminates or attempts to terminate
the following user processes:
- zlclient.exe
- ekrn.exe
- fsav32.exe
- smc.exe
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %CommonProgramFiles%\autorun.inf
- %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\autorun.inf
- <Current directory>\autorun.inf
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- %CommonProgramFiles%\autorun.inf
- %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\autorun.inf
Deletes the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- %CommonProgramFiles%\autorun.inf
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Indicator' WindowName: ''
- ClassName: 'Shell_TrayWnd' WindowName: ''
