- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce] 'wextract_cleanup0' = 'rundll32.exe <SYSTEM32>\advpack.dll,DelNodeRunDLL32 "%TEMP%\IXP000.TMP\"'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\svcpic.jpg
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- %TEMP%\IXP000.TMP\cd-rom.exe
- %APPDATA%\Microsoft\explorer.exe
- %TEMP%\IXP000.TMP\server.exe
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %TEMP%\IXP000.TMP\cd-rom.exe
- %APPDATA%\Microsoft\explorer.exe
- %TEMP%\IXP000.TMP\server.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\svcpic.jpg
- %APPDATA%\Microsoft\explorer.exe
Deletes the following files:
- %TEMP%\~DFA16E.tmp
