To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] 'Userinit' = '<SYSTEM32>\userinit.exe,%WINDIR%\<Virus name>.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\qOBQp.exe
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
forces the system hide from view:
- hidden files
Forces autoplay for removable media.
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %WINDIR%\<Virus name>.exe
- %WINDIR%\spoollist.txt
- %HOMEPATH%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\69I9OPW5\t7[1].txt
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- %WINDIR%\<Virus name>.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\qOBQp.exe
