To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'My App' = 'C:\WinHost\<Virus name>.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\<Virus name>.exe
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- C:\WinHost\<Virus name>.exe
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- C:\Autorun.inf
- C:\WinHost\<Virus name>.exe
- C:\<Virus name>.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- C:\WinHost\<Virus name>.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Autorun.inf
- C:\Autorun.inf
Deletes the following files:
- %TEMP%\~DFC95B.tmp
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Indicator' WindowName: ''
