- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Emsisoft Final Version' = '%WINDIR%\Emsisoft Final Version'
Creates or modifies the following files:
- %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\NPE.exe
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\NPE.exe
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\net1.exe user admin * /RANDOM
- <SYSTEM32>\net1.exe user %username% * /RANDOM
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- C:\NPE.exe
- C:\autorun.inf
- %HOMEPATH%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\69I9OPW5\wipersoft.de[1]
- C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-1482476501-1644491937-682003330-1013\desktop.ini
